St.Vith – meeting point of Eifel-Ardennes

The meeting point of these regions is also the meeting point of the Germanic and Roman cultures. Internationality and multilingualism are self-evident. During the last few years, the city has been honored and recognized several times for its high quality of life, in several examinations and polls.  40 criteria were measured and St.Vith always excelled among all communities of the southern part of Belgium.

The small city has held city rights since the 13th century and has always been an important market place. Christmas 1944, during the Ardennes Offensive, it was completely destroyed. Today, the town is characterized by 150 businesses of all types, an excellent gastronomic experience, a reputation as “furniture town“, and possessing an excellent sports, hospital and school infrastructure.
