The first and currently only industrial park with a size of 51.73 ha was founded in the 1980s, in the west of Malmedy, 1 km away from the city center, at the bank of the river Warche.Because of the fast expansion of the city, the industrial park, the commercial park and residential areas grow closer and closer together.
Malmedy is a booming business city with a high volume of tourist traffic, not only because of the proximity to the racetrack of Spa/Franchorchamps.
